PRIVACY AND COOKIE NOTICE · VERSION 2026-10-02
Personal and billing details: updated on 29 October 2026.
This notice explains how Aviation LPE processes personal data when you visit the website, make an enquiry or book an exam. It is provided under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
1. Who is responsible
The controller is Amadei Edoardo, trading as Aviation LPE, Italian VAT number 18050701004, established at Piazza Don Aldo Zamponi 4, 00040 Ardea (RM), Italia. You can contact the controller at info@aviationlpe.eu or by telephone at +393337366416, including to exercise your rights.
2. Information we collect
- Enquiries: name, email, message, submission date and handling status.
- Bookings: first and last name, email, telephone with international calling code, date and place of birth, sex recorded at birth and Italian tax code (or a declaration that a foreign-born candidate does not hold one), and any company details and billing address, selected exam, date and time, optional notes, referral code, amounts, payment references and status.
- Acceptance of terms: the accepted version, acceptance date and time, and any express request to perform the service before the withdrawal period ends.
- Withdrawal and assistance: information identifying the person and contract, the declaration submitted, submission time and subsequent correspondence.
- Technical data: session, language choice and identifiers needed to protect forms and resume an unfinished booking; security records and administrative activity logs. To limit abuse, the site also uses an identifier derived from the IP address, which is not shown in candidate records. The hosting provider may record IP addresses and access information in its technical logs.
Do not include health information, identity documents, card numbers or other unnecessary data in messages or notes. This website does not collect or store your full card number or security code; payments are handled by PayPal.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Responding and organising the exam: steps taken at your request before a contract and performance of the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). This includes availability, bookings, operational messages, receipts and calendar files.
- Payments, accounting and consumer rights: performance of the contract and compliance with legal obligations (Articles 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(c)).
- Referrals: applying a requested discount and administering the candidate’s code under the service terms (Article 6(1)(b)). We do not use a code to send advertising to friends or disclose the new candidate’s contact details or exam result to the referrer.
- Security and legal protection: the controller’s legitimate interests in preventing abuse, protecting the service and establishing, exercising or defending legal claims (Article 6(1)(f)), limiting data, access and retention to what is necessary.
Required fields are needed to handle the enquiry or contract; without them we cannot complete the relevant operation. Notes are optional. Acknowledging this notice is not consent to marketing. This website does not provide newsletters, advertising profiling or solely automated decisions with legal effects; automatic checks concern availability, prices and code validity.
4. Who may receive information
Edoardo Amadei and authorised support personnel may access data, as may providers of hosting, email, maintenance and administrative advice within their respective duties. Aruba is used for hosting and email. Providers processing data on behalf of the controller are subject to Article 28 GDPR agreements where required. Data may also be disclosed to authorities or other recipients where legally required.
PayPal also acts as an independent controller for payment processing and its own obligations. See PayPal’s privacy statement. The website receives transaction references and outcomes needed to reconcile the booking.
Mandatory exam registration takes place on the external platform linked in your confirmation email. Data entered there is covered by the platform’s privacy policy; this website does not store uploaded identity documents or audio or video recordings of the exam. Operational information needed to organise the appointment may be shared with those delivering the service. Before using an external platform, review its notice and the instructions provided.
5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
International payment services and external platforms may process information outside the EEA under their own privacy notices. For any transfers carried out by the controller through its providers, the safeguards required by Chapter V GDPR are used, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses with the necessary protections. You may ask the controller for information about the applicable safeguards.
6. Retention
- Enquiries that do not lead to a contract are retained for the time needed to respond and normally no longer than 12 months after the last relevant communication.
- Booking information needed to document contracts and payments, acceptance records and relevant correspondence are retained for the periods required by law and necessary to protect legal rights. Accounting documents subject to Article 2220 of the Italian Civil Code are kept for 10 years from the last entry. Notes and operational details not needed for those purposes are removed earlier through periodic reviews.
- Contact details associated with a referral code are retained while it is valid, then only as needed to document discounts used or resolve disputes. You may request code deactivation by email.
- Technical data is kept for the session or as needed for security and troubleshooting. Rate-limiting entries expire after their relevant window; administrative records and logs are periodically reviewed for continued necessity.
Where a dispute or specific retention obligation applies, only the necessary information may be retained longer until it is resolved. Once the purposes end, data is deleted or anonymised, subject to backup retention cycles.
7. Cookies and browser storage
The website uses a necessary session cookie whose name starts with lpe_ for language, form protection and private access. It is not an advertising cookie and expires when the browser session ends, subject to the browser’s settings. A pending booking reference may be stored in the tab’s sessionStorage to resume payment; it is removed when the flow ends or the tab is closed.
Photos, logos and fonts are served by this website. No proprietary advertising analytics or marketing trackers are installed. At the payment stage, the PayPal component is loaded and communicates with PayPal; it may use its own technical tools for checkout and fraud prevention under its privacy statement. Links to other websites open only when you select them.
You can delete or block cookies using your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent booking and login. Advertising consent is not requested for strictly necessary tools alone.
8. Your rights
Where applicable under Articles 15–22 GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Erasure does not apply to data that must be retained by law or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
Email info@aviationlpe.eu. We may request only the information necessary to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month; any extension allowed by the GDPR will be explained. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority or the competent authority where you live, work or believe a breach occurred.
9. Private testing and updates
In the administrator-only testing area, clearly marked TEST, emails generated by the website are delivered to the configured test mailbox. Fictional candidate data should be used. Test payments in the PayPal Live environment are still real transactions. Messages sent directly by PayPal follow the PayPal accounts’ settings.
The notice’s version and date appear at the top. Updates are published on this page; material changes affecting ongoing relationships will be communicated appropriately.
